Help For Children & Adults with Disabilities
Catholic Charities’ Developmental Disabilities Services provide opportunities for a fulfilling future to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our programs are here to support them and their families and caretakers. We believe in the potential and talent of each person to contribute to and participate in their community. Our programs are a reflection of that belief.
The Kennedy School works with children and teens with disabilities offering personalized academic, therapeutic and vocational classes for students ages 6 to 22.
Community Companions is an after-school program that continues the learning after the school day ends.
Supported Employment Programs, located in Washington, DC, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Southern Maryland get adults with developmental disabilities into the work force, partnering with employers and maintaining a close relationship with each consumer to help them thrive.
Community Options is a day program for adults with severe health issues for whom working is not an option. We take trips into the community, go bowling, take walks in the park and dine out together.
Early Childhood Development
Early Childhood Development and Intervention is open to typically developing children and children with disabilities ages six weeks to three years. The program focuses on early intervention and development in an inclusive and educational environment.
