Take a leap in service to others with one of these volunteer activities:

Tuesday, Feb. 27

• Montgomery County Family Center: Prepare and distribute food boxes. 9:30 a.m. to noon, outdoors, Silver Spring
• Adam’s Place Men’s Shelter: Help residents clean lockers. 3:30-6 p.m. or 6-8:30 p.m., Northeast D.C.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

• Spanish Catholic Center: Hand out bagged food to people who line up at Lamont Plaza. 9:30 a.m. to noon, outdoors, Northwest D.C.

Leap Day, Thursday, Feb. 29

• Volunteer Engagement Office: Organize and send thank-you notes to those who have volunteered throughout the year. 9:30 a.m. to noon, downtown D.C.
• SHARE Food Network: Organize and bag food items for future distributions. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., SHARE warehouse, Landover
