- Volunteer Activity
We value the enthusiasm and commitment to Catholic Charities’ programs exhibited by our high school and college student volunteers. We encourage students to volunteer by themselves or with a group of friends.
All volunteers younger than 18 years old must have a signed Parent/Guardian Waiver when volunteering at Catholic Charities.
Please refer to our volunteer calendar for all scheduled projects.
Service Coordinators
We are happy to discuss ways your students can become further involved with Catholic Charities. To schedule a one-on-one meeting, contact us.
Group Projects
We are sometimes able to arrange special projects for groups who are unable to volunteer at one of our scheduled events on the volunteer calendar. Service coordinators should contact us to set up a project for their students. Our team requests roughly a four-week notice to plan projects so that we can ensure we provide the best experience for both our volunteers and clients.
Education Workshops
We recognize that, while hands-on experience is important, students also need a space to learn and reflect on the issues our clients face. We offer introductory workshops on topics such as Homelessness and How to be a Good Volunteer. For more information contact us.
Grade Schools
Some Catholic Charities programs allow volunteers of all ages to participate. Parochial grade schools should contact us for more information on how to involve younger students.
Internships
We offer opportunities for internships for undergraduate students and periodically for high school students
