Catholic Charities Board of Directors and CEO Transition Committee hosted a welcome reception for new President and CEO Jim Malloy on Oct. 24, 2023. More than 100 Catholic Charities supporters attended the event at Columbia Country Club. Board Chair John Veihmeyer noted that Malloy has visited all the agency’s programs since becoming CEO. “Meeting our staff members, spending time in service with our volunteers, and talking with clients has given me new and deep appreciation for Catholic Charities, an organization I have long admired,” Malloy told guests. “I’ve learned that Catholic Charities has much to be proud of — perhaps most importantly a passionate and skilled staff and cadre of dedicated volunteers who put their faith into action every day. I’ve also learned about you, our generous supporters – both donors and volunteers – certainly the fuel for this high-performance engine I have inherited. It is so evident to me that Catholic Charities’ mission of service to others, as defined in Catholic Social Teaching, is dear to you as well.” (Photos by Denny Henry)

“I am honored to have been chosen to lead Catholic Charities,” said President and CEO Jim Malloy, “and I share your commitment to serve because the work that this organization does truly matters.”

Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala, a member of Catholic Charities Board of Directors, gave a blessing.
Kevin Virostek, former board chair, shared a light moment with Mission Advocate Msgr. John J. Enzler, who served as president and CEO until June 2023.
