Food Pantries
Food assistance from pantries is available at three locations.
About the Program
Our SHARE Food Network collaborates with the pantries to develop food packages based upon community need. The packages include protein items and fresh produce as they are available. Personal care items, such as soap and diapers, and supplemental grocery gift cards are also available at each location in limited quantities.
Catholic Charities Center, 12247 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, Md. 20902
The center distributes grocery packages on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month to Montgomery County residents. A current ID is required. If diapers are needed (once a month), bring the baby’s birth certificate.
Spanish Catholic Center, 1618 Monroe St. NW, Washington D.C. 20010
Every other Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Distribution is at the nearby Lamont Plaza on the corner of Mt. Pleasant Street NW and Lamont Street NW. The center’s food pantry in the Monroe Street building is open for walk-ins on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 202-281-2794.

Tuesday, 9 a.m. to noon, for Charles County residents.
