Bank Sales Representative Training Program

Enroll now in the training program to obtain the skills needed to become a bank sales representative.

About the Program

Catholic Charities’ Latinos in Finance Program provides qualified individuals 18 years of age and older with comprehensive training for bilingual bank teller positions and other entry-level careers in the financial services industry.

In addition to the bilingual customer service and financial sector curriculum, staff also focus on helping participants develop job readiness skills, learn soft skills to use in a workplace setting, and understand appropriate professional conduct. Catholic Charities offers a weekly English language instruction session to help participants practice their presentation skills and effective resume writing, as well as one-on-one resume consultations.

Catholic Charities conducts three 10-week training courses each year with classes held four times a week for four hours a day. Classes are held via Zoom and in-person at our locations in Northwest D.C. and Silver Spring.

Eligible participants are required to have at least three months of customer service and experience handling cash. To be eligible, applicants also must:

  • Have completed high school or earned a GED.
  • Have some work experience in a financial institution, prior customer service experience, or at least two years of sales experience.
  • Be bilingual (fluent in English and another language).
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Pass a background check.

All applicants are interviewed and required to complete an orientation session before starting the program.
