Catholic Charities is saddened by the loss of one of our dear friends, JD Murphy. While his entrepreneurial spirit and hard work brought him great professional success, JD was especially determined to live his life by sharing his time, talent, and treasure with those less fortunate. One of his greatest pleasures came from his many philanthropic endeavors.
We at Catholic Charities were witness to this generosity and compassion first-hand. He served on the board of the Catholic Charities Foundation, and was a member of our Circle of Hope. In addition to their own championing of so many Catholic Charities programs, JD and his wife Genevieve have welcomed many into their home to inspire others to support our mission.
He will be missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his warm, funny, and gracious personality. Catholic Charities will be forever grateful to JD for his leadership, thoughtfulness, compassion, and generosity. We are truly blessed to have a friend like him, and are heartened that his legacy of philanthropy will live on. Our prayers are with all who knew and loved JD.
