As 2019 draws to a close, Catholic Charities announces that
Lou Christopher, vice chairman of CBRE, is the incoming chair of the agency’s
President’s Council. Christopher replaces Lulu Gonella of LGW Consulting, who
is completing her year-long term.

As the outgoing chair, Gonella was an exemplary leader,
focusing her efforts on increasing volunteerism among the council members.
Under her leadership, the agency executed one of the most successful holiday
Angel Tree drives ever. We thank her for her incredible work over the last year
and for her unwavering support of Catholic Charities. We look forward to
continuing to collaborate with her in the years ahead.

Looking ahead to 2020, Christopher, who had served as vice
chair, hopes to strengthen the Council’s relationships with the agency’s 58
programs through visits and service projects throughout the year. Another
longtime Catholic Charities supporter, Christopher served as chair of the 2012
Catholic Charities Gala. We welcome him in his new role and are eager to see
what the Council will accomplish next year.

The Catholic Charities’ President’s Council is a diverse
committee of 150 business and civic leaders from across the D.C. region. Members
serve as agency ambassadors in addition to advising the organization’s
executive leadership team.
