Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington named retired Vice Admiral James Malloy its new president and CEO on March 28, 2023.  John Veihmeyer, chair of the Catholic Charities Board of Directors, made the announcement following a nationwide search. Malloy retired in October 2022 as deputy commander of U.S. Central Command and succeeded Msgr. John J. Enzler, who retired after 12 years as the agency’s president and CEO. Malloy’s appointment was effective on July 1, 2023.
