It has been a very busy summer at Catholic Charities, as you will read in this issue of Giving Back.
From graduations to welcoming interns to deploying volunteers to serve in border towns to help immigrants new to our country, we have been running at full speed to meet the needs of our neighbors in need.
We launched Summer of Service to engage volunteerism across all our programs. Did you know that we have hundreds of professionals who volunteer their time in our legal, medical, dental, and financial programs? Annually these dedicated people provide more than $20 million in pro bono services to our clients.
As summer winds down, we hope you take a moment to read about our latest activity and impact on our local community. Perhaps the stories will inspire you to volunteer to pack Cup of Joe breakfast bags for the homeless, to sign up for a day of golf in support of our Catholic Charities Legal Network, or to share our newsletter with your friends and family!
