How You Can Honor Father John with A Special Gift
We’ve created a special opportunity for those who are not gala sponsors to also honor Msgr. John J. Enzler on the 50th anniversary of his ordination and his retirement as president and CEO of Catholic Charities. Be a part of helping us honor Father John’s legacy by making a gift in honor of Father John. Every gift supports our mission and continues to support those in need. All gifts will be mentioned in a special “SAY YES” book that will be presented to Father John this summer.

Virtual Gala
Catholic Charities’ Gala continues the tradition of providing vital funding for our work addressing basic human needs for those living in poverty in D.C. and suburban Maryland.
With the theme “An Everlasting Legacy,” the 2023 event also honored Msgr. John J. Enzler’s 50th anniversary as a priest in The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and his upcoming retirement as president and CEO. Bishop William Byrne of the Diocese of Springfield, Mass., served as master of ceremonies.
Entertainment was provided by 76 Degrees West. This Mid-Atlantic band brought the energy, along with a set list filled with classic R&B and Top 40 hits.
The 38th annual gala was chaired by Kevin Virostek, Board of Directors chair emeritus, and Mary Anne Virostek, and Steve and Joanne Virostek and a dedicated gala committee.
On behalf of the more than 167,000 men, women, and children served by Catholic Charities each year, we extend our gratitude for your continued support. Without you, we could not provide shelter, adequate food, health care, legal representation and mental health services to so many who have nowhere else to turn. Regardless of their social, economic or religious background, anyone can turn to Catholic Charities for help and hope.
Follow us on social media @CCADW for details about the gala, along with the latest news and volunteer opportunities with the area’s most comprehensive social services agency.
