Marriott Marquis (901 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20001). Black tie.
Virtual Gala

We have had an extraordinary response to the gala. We are working to accommodate everyone who is interested either to join us in person or virtually to celebrate the great work of Catholic Charities and the legacy of Msgr. John Enzler. For sponsorship information and availability, contact Kimani Superville at events@cc-dc.org or 202-772-4331.

How You Can Honor Father John with A Special Gift

We’ve created a special opportunity for those who are not gala sponsors to also honor Msgr. John J. Enzler on the 50th anniversary of his ordination and his retirement as president and CEO of Catholic Charities. Be a part of helping us honor Father John’s legacy by making a gift in honor of Father John. Every gift supports our mission and continues to support those in need. All donors of any amount are invited to join us virtually at the Catholic Charities Gala on April 1. You will receive an email with the link to the virtual gala during the week of March 27. All gifts will be mentioned in a special “SAY YES” book that will be presented to Father John this summer.

About the Gala

Catholic Charities’ Gala continues the tradition of providing vital funding for our work addressing basic human needs for those living in poverty in D.C. and suburban Maryland.

With the theme “An Everlasting Legacy,” the 2023 event also will honor Msgr. John J. Enzler’s 50th anniversary as a priest in The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington and his upcoming retirement as president and CEO. Bishop William Byrne of the Diocese of Springfield, Mass., will serve as master of ceremonies. We, of course, have a few surprises planned.

Entertainment will be provided by 76 Degrees West. This Mid-Atlantic band will surely bring the energy, along with a set list filled with classic R&B and Top 40 hits to make the night one for the ages.

The 38th annual gala is chaired by Kevin Virostek, Board of Directors chair emeritus, and Mary Anne Virostek, and Steve and Joanne Virostek and a dedicated gala committee.

We look forward to celebrating with you in April.

On behalf of the more than 167,000 men, women, and children served by Catholic Charities each year, we extend our gratitude for your continued support. Without you, we could not provide shelter, adequate food, health care, legal representation and mental health services to so many who have nowhere else to turn. Regardless of their social, economic or religious background, anyone can turn to Catholic Charities for help and hope.

Follow us on social media @CCADW for details about the gala, along with the latest news and volunteer opportunities with the area’s most comprehensive social services agency.
