Community Thanksgiving Dinner and Turkey Giveaways

November 21, 2023

To kick off the season of giving, Catholic Charities and Pepco served a sit-down Thanksgiving meal for those who were homeless or hungry on Nov. 21 and distributed winter coats. Three hundred meals were served at a festive traditional dinner inside Pepco Edison Place Gallery. The hearty and nutritious meal — part of Catholic Charities’ St. Maria’s Meals program — was made by the agency’s KitchenWork program and served by Catholic Charities’ volunteers and Pepco employees. Meanwhile at Catholic Charities’ three food pantries across the region, turkeys were given to those facing food insecurity. (Photos by Chris Williams and videos by Foster Dennin)
