Photo Gallery: Kennedy School Class of 2020 Graduation

Even though rain was in the forecast last Friday, the sun came out just in time to honor the Catholic Charities’ Kennedy School class of 2020 in a special graduation ceremony. While the event was adjusted to follow social distancing protocols because of the COVID pandemic, the seven graduating students still donned caps and gowns and celebrated their accomplishment alongside guests including Catholic Charities DC’s President and CEO Father John Enzler, Kennedy School Principal Paris Adon, and their families. The graduates, ages 17-22, proudly accepted their diplomas and thanked the teachers and staff who helped them reach this important milestone.

The Kennedy School, named in honor of the late Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy, specializes in educating students with developmental and intellectual differences including autism, emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries. The school supports students holistically, through behavioral and social emotional counseling, academic programming, internships that focus on employment skills, and physical education. Kennedy prepares students for a lifetime of learning as illustrated by one of this year’s graduates who will attend community college to study art.

Congratulations to the class of 2020!
