The Kennedy School – Gift Bags for Staff

Preparing gift bags for our neighbors who are residents in a Catholic Charities shelter is a wonderful way to bring the holiday spirit and help them through the months ahead. Suggested items include warm clothing (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.), toiletries, individually packaged treats, and small games such as sudoku or crossword puzzles.
Impact of the volunteer:
Volunteers will positively impact the people accessing our services by bringing some extra love and joy this Holiday Season
Catholic Charities Program Served:
The Kennedy School is a non-public day school for children ages 6 – 22 with disabilities. We specialize in serving students with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. We utilize a small classroom, team-based approach, where we have no more than seven students per class and no less than three staff members per class. We support our students holistically, through behavioral and social emotional counseling, serious academic intervention focusing on Mathematics, internships that focus on employment skills, and physical education. Our students receive a different type of education here at Kennedy, which prepares them for a lifetime of learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Making gift bags for 13 staff.
Qualifications:
- Please include the following items – warm clothing (hats, gloves, scarves, etc.), individually packaged treats, stress ball, lip balm, and small games such as sudoku or crossword puzzles.
- Ability to drop off items at the timeframe and locations identified below.
Time Commitment:
- To be dropped off December 12th
- 10 am, but they are flexible with the time
