Homelessness Survey Translators

January 22 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Calling all speakers of Spanish!

Each January, DC runs the Point in Time Count to understand the state of homelessness in the District. Volunteers help folks experiencing homelessness fill out a two-page information form so the city can better understand homelessness and make policy and funding decisions.

New York Ave Men’s Shelter is required to interview each resident who stays in the shelter during the Point in Time Count. Spanish-English bilingual volunteers are needed to help Spanish-speaking clients fill out their forms. Volunteers will receive a training on-site before they begin volunteering.

Join us so we can help amplify the voices and input of our neighbors experiencing homelessness!

Where: New York Ave Men’s Shelter, 1355 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC

Volunteer Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Spanish-English Bilingual
