The Mission of Mercy is a free dental clinic for adults with services provided by volunteer dental professionals.
The event takes the form of quarterly one-day dental clinics, which will begin in October 2022. Each clinic will be held on a Saturday at the end of the quarter at one of Catholic Charities’ three dental clinics.
The services of volunteer dental professionals – dentists and dental assistants – will be needed, as will volunteers to serve as greeters, registrars and interpreters.
The free services for patients will take place quarterly. Volunteer at one of our upcoming clinics that are scheduled for:
- October 1, 2022, at the Spanish Catholic Center in NW Washington DC
- January 28, 2023, at the Catholic Charities Center in Silver Spring MD
- April 22, 2023, at the Catholic Charities Mona Center in Temple Hills MD
- June 24, 2023, at the Spanish Catholic Center in NW Washington DC
Two shifts are available: Morning (7:30am – 12:00pm) or Afternoon (11:30am – 4:00pm). Volunteers may sign up for one or both shifts.
NOTE: The Mission of Mercy is conducted in a clinical setting where exposure to various diseases may occur. Volunteers are expected to have a current Hepatitis B vaccine (or sign a waiver), a current COVID-19 vaccine, and a recent, clear TB test.
