Coat Closet Set Up
November 3 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
One event on November 3, 2018 at 9:00am
Each winter, Catholic Charities collects and distributes over 1,000 winter coats to people in need of a little extra warmth. This is made possible by generous donations from local parishes, schools, community groups, and individuals. Hundreds of these coats are given away at the Coat Closet. Volunteers are needed to help set up the coat closet for the winter. Many hands make light work in this large-scale operation. Volunteers will organize coat donations by gender and size, hang up coats, clean, and create a welcoming shopping space for future shoppers.
Please note volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. This volunteer activity is not appropriate for volunteers under 10 years of age. The Coat Closet is located at St. Francis Xavier Multipurpose Room (2815 O Street SE, Washington, DC 20020).
