Harriet Tubman Emergency Women's Shelter and Day Program
Do you need a place to stay tonight? Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter is a low-barrier emergency shelter for women over the age of 18. The program offers a hot meal, a shower, a place to stay off of the streets, access to a case manager and a work program. Intake begins at 7 pm each night, and the shelter closes at 7 am the next morning.
Harriet’s Tubman’s Day Program focuses on life skills training for women and is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm.
Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter is a low-barrier emergency shelter for women over the age of 18 who are in urgent need of housing, food or case management. Shelter staff serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to clients. Case management services at the shelter include assistance with life skills, employment, hygiene issues, drug rehab and financial management. Two rehab specialists and a program manager during the day are available to work directly with clients.
Intake: Harriet Tubman Women’s Shelter is a 100-bed, low-barrier emergency facility. All clients are self-referred, and beds are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
