Tenants Empowerment Network (TEN)
TEN is a supportive housing program for families who are homeless and living in the District of Columbia. Our staff provide case management services, addictions counseling, guidance in searching for and securing employment and child care assistance. All of this is conducted in a safe and loving environment, with volunteer groups providing specialized help with school supplies for children, putting on and directing plays and providing one-on-one support alongside the staff.
TEN follows the transitional housing model and has been recognized as a leader in the city for its work.
The Tenants Empowerment Network is a transitional housing program for families that are homeless in the District of Columbia. Get Involved In Our Work!
TEN depends on the generosity, creativity and passion of volunteers to enhance its work and impact. There are many ways to work with us.
Donate: TEN depends on private support to ensure we have the resources to help each family that comes to us in their journey back to self-sufficiency and independence. Make a donation directly to Tenants Empowerment Network.
Volunteer: Consider donating your time and talents as a volunteer with our program. We are particularly in need of financial mentors, attorneys, interior designers and daycare workers. Volunteers are crucial to showing our clients they are valued and loved! Visit Catholic Charities' volunteer homepage to get started.
Organize: Every year, we need clothing for adults and children, school supplies and jackets. Help us by organizing a drive at your church, workplace or community group! Call 373-0112.
