One in eight households face hunger in Washington, DC.

This Lent, make a commitment to make a change through the 2019 Lenten Food Drive, a massive food drive occurring in schools and parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Washington. An annual tradition since the visit of His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, this drive provides more than 100,000 pounds of food to local food banks and parish pantries each year.

Donations will benefit hungry families right here in our local community, stocking shelves throughout the region at Catholic Charities’ Southern Maryland Foodbank, Parish Food Pantries, and other food banks.

Thank you!
The 2018 Lenten Food Drive was a huge success! In 2018, more than 240,000 pounds of food were collected from the ADW parishes and schools. This surpassed 2017’s total of 206,322 pounds of food!
