Alyson Runco Beinert, Senior Attorney
Alyson Runco Beinert joined Catholic Charities DC in September 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in political science from the College of Charleston and a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law. Before joining Catholic Charities DC, she worked as an attorney for Catholic Charities Office of Immigration Legal Services in Charleston, S.C., for six years. She has extensive experience in family-based immigration and working with clients who have been victims of crimes and trafficking. She has successfully counseled hundreds of clients through their legal matters. She also has served as an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law, teaching legal research and writing. She is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and the District of Columbia and is an active member of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network. She has dedicated her legal career to the immigrant community and looks forward to continuing the Catholic Charities’ mission in Washington, D.C.
