When families are at risk of having children removed from the home, Homebuilders takes a home-based, intensive approach, working with family members with the goal of keeping children safe and as a family unit.

Services

Homebuilders is an evidence-based intensive family preservation program that provides home-based counseling services for families that are at having the child removed from the home.  These services include crisis intervention, life-skills education, parenting skills, and coordination of appropriate community referrals.  Therapists meet with families 8-10 hours weekly for four weeks in an effort to eliminate imminent safety concerns.

Intake: Child and Family Service  Agency (CFSA) Social Worker and Supervisor must determine if the identified family should be referred to Homebuilders.  CFSA Social Worker contacts the Homebuilders Clinical Supervisor at (571) 314-0109 to determine eligibility.

Qualifications: CFSA identifies families who are at imminent risk of child placement.
