2021-2022 Mission of Mercy hosting 10 one-day dental clinics

The Mission of Mercy is a free dental clinic for adults with services provided by volunteer dental professionals.

The event takes the form of 10 monthly one-day dental clinics, which began in September 2021. Each clinic will be held on the third Saturday of the month at one of Catholic Charities’ three dental clinics.

The services of volunteer dental professionals – dentists and dental assistants – will be needed, as will volunteers to serve as greeters, registrars and interpreters.

Volunteer Registration

The free services for adult patients will take place monthly. Clinics are scheduled for:

  • May 21, 2022, at the Susan D. Mona Center in Temple Hills;
  • June 18, 2022, at the Spanish Catholic Center in Northwest Washington;
  • July 16, 2022, at the Catholic Charities Center in Silver Spring.

Scenes from the 2019 Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic

Since 2013, Catholic Charities DC has hosted six Mission of Mercy dental clinics, providing more than $3 million in free dental care to 3,750 patients. During the event in 2019, 1,000 adults received dental care they otherwise would not have received thanks to the work of 500 dental professionals and 500 general volunteers and the support of sponsors and partners.
