At-Risk Children

Children at Risk

In a house in Northeast DC, two brothers with boundless energy fly around the house, laughing and dancing. They can’t wait to share their new dance with grandma. Their smiles do not show the painful years they endured living with their biological mother -- too young and inexperienced to raise them in a loving home. But thanks to our Foster Care program, these young boys were able to find a safe and loving home with their grandmother. It is just one of the ways we help children and families get on track and stay there.

Whatever the challenge, we open a single door to help and hope.

Our Philosophy

Children are God’s most precious gift. Too many children go without the nurturing care they need to get a good start in life. We believe all children, from the unborn to teenagers, deserve loving, safe, and healthy environments in which to grow.

We offer help and hope to children and parents in need, including expectant mothers looking for a good adoptive home for their unborn child. Our foster care program offers abused and neglected children a haven of rest, while our parenting program helps parents avoid the pitfalls that lead to abuse.
