Employment Training

Programs of the Spanish Catholic Center

The Spanish Catholic Center offers several programs to help assist men and women from Hispanic countries with obtaining a job. These include learning new trades and providing the resources to complete a job search with a successful hire.

Services

The Spanish Catholic Center Employment Counseling and Job Readiness Training Program helps to match employers with potential employees.  We offer Job Readiness and Life Skills Workshops the third week of each month to help job seekers improve their ability to search for jobs independently. Financial Literacy Workshops are also offered to ensure that new hires successfully maintain a stable, productive lifestyle. Workshops last one full week.  The Gaithersburg location offers job referrals exclusively.

Intake: Spanish-speaking job seekers may enroll in the program on Mondays at 10:30 am and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 pm.  English-speaking job seekers are invited to make an appointment to enroll in the program.  Job Readiness and Life Skills Workshops are held the third week of each month, but require job seekers to call in advance to reserve a spot.
