Mid- Maryland Mission of Mercy
Mission of Mercy (MOM) is an entirely free adult dental clinic provided by volunteers: 250 dental and medical professionals and 250 general volunteers. At the MOM our goal is to provide 1,000 adults with dental care they otherwise would not receive.
Volunteer dentists and related professionals
Hygienists, X-ray techs, dental assistants, physicians, nurses – are most welcome! Maryland credentials are required, see the link on registration site to apply for yours. CE Credits are available for dental and medical professionals.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Roles include escorting patients through the event, patient check-in and out, and event set up and break down. Groups of volunteers are welcome to serve together for a shift.
Most volunteer shifts are for half a day, either morning to mid-day or mid-day to early evening.
Bag policy: Backpacks and other large bags will not be permitted into the Mission of Mercy and Health Equity Festival.
Since 2013, Catholic Charities has partnered with the dental societies of Southern Maryland and Mid-Maryland to put on 4 Mission of Mercy dental clinics. This year, we are partnering with the Mid Maryland Dental Society and the University of Maryland Center for Health Equity.
