Fortitude Housing
Fortitude Housing is a program that offers a different approach to fighting homelessness. Each resident in the program is given their own apartment, fully furnished and one-on-one case management services that help connect residents with employment support, social security benefits, education and other support services that help rebuild lives.
With the crisis of homelessness removed, many residents are finding they can rebuild their lives. Apartments are located throughout Washington, DC. Maryland residents can find more information on the Fortitude Housing Maryland page.
Services
Fortitude Housing DC is a permanent supportive housing program, providing living accommodations for residents of the District of Columbia. The program provides individualized case management services to clients and focuses on budgeting, bill paying, community engagement and apartment maintenance.
Intake: Individuals interested in seeking accommodation at Fortitude Housing DC must meet the following criteria: Individual must be single and homeless with a disabling condition; individual must be continuously homeless for a year or more OR have experienced 4 episodes of homeless in the past 3 years.
